Processes on ONEWEB Platform are created by using Process Designer (PD) which is purely based on BPMN notations. It is used for representing and configuring Business Processes by simple & user friendly graphical notations. This helps both technical and business users to easily configure business processes using simple drag and drop user interfaces as shown in the figure below:
Some of the Key points about "Process" that user should know are:
- Process Designer on ONEWEB platform is used to create business processes and it is available under DEV ZONE on top left corner of ONEWEB MENU bar.
- A Process on ONEWEB Platform can consist of single process or multiple processes as per your business requirement.
- A subprocess can be used inside a process to reduce complexity and to overcome any repetitive steps in the process.
A Process in Process Designer (PD) consists of three main components:
Business Object: The data or variables that are used by the activities in your business processes are encapsulated in the Business Object (BO). Every process needs to define the input and output business object in order to determine what data will be used when the process begins at start node and finish at end node. More details on Business Object are described in Business Object section.
Work party: Work party is a group of users or roles. The work party is often used in human task assignment. Each work party can be comprised of both users and roles. More details on Work party are described in Work Party section.
Process Template Diagram: This component is to implement the business process. Process Template Diagram also contains the process activity symbols that are used to represent the business tasks. The details of this component are described in Process Template Diagram section.
